Amy on Music

I have been teaching music as a larger part of my business for the past 20 years now.  I teach piano, voice and violin privately as well as in small groups.  I mostly teach children but I have also taught adults, especially in private voice.  I have a college education in music as a music major at Idaho State University and I continue to work on my music education by having well-qualified teachers help me to stay on top of all of the newest information to better help my students.

I am a member in Suzuki voice as well as Suzuki violin.  This helps me teach the students with good technique. It also helps me to make it enjoyable for the students by teaching fun songs,  such as fiddling and folk songs for violin and Broadway songs for the singers.  I am also a member of Rainbow Tones for violin which, together with Suzuki, makes for an excellent combination.

I have been part of the Utah Music Teachers Association because they continue to teach piano teachers the newest education techniques and fun ways to keep kids motivated in playing good music.

I am now trying to grow my art business so I can combine my music teaching and art. This has always been a dream of mine to do the two things I like to do most and to build a business out of it and to have fun sharing my talents with others.

So contact me to see about visiting my music studio if you are looking for a teacher in these instruments. I'm happy to schedule a free orientation so you can get to know me better and learn how I can meet you and your child’s needs for a music teacher.
